The PhD seminar is dedicated to the accompaniment of doctoral students for the development of their first research and thus the writing of their first paper.
It is divided into two parts. The first part, finishing early January, consists in a series of presentations, texts and exercises to be elaborated by the participants. Based on these results and their evolution in their first year regarding their research, they are then allowed or not to pursue the second part of the course. This second part comprises exercises and coaching on their own research paper, with a final draft to be submitted in early June. Depending on the quality of the draft, the participant will be invited to present his/her paper in front of the professor and, potentially the supervisor (facultative).
The seminar aims at helping good and motivated doctoral candidates to “put their feet in the stirrups”.
