Programme

Core learning (20 ECTS)

In the aim to assure a strong base in common knowledge, develop the groups dynamic and promote the confrontation of models and methods, the doctoral training (1 or 2 years maximum) starts with a core learning.

Advanced Classes (15 ECTS)

Afterwards, to improve the knowledge in the specialization area of each PhD student, the advanced classes offer the opportunity to follow accurate courses in each management fields: international trade and development, accounting and finance, information systems, supply chain management and management quantitative methods, marketing and strategy, human resources and organization, innovation and entrepreneurship.

Research activities (20 ECTS)

Throughout the doctoral process, students engage in various research activities: attendance of seminars and conferences, presentation of papers, publication in peer-reviewed journals, organization of events, involvement in research networks, etc. These research activities can be credited within this category. The way in which the activities are credited depend on each university – please contact your administrative officer for more information. Obviously, while 20 ECTS is the minimum required, we encourage students to exceed this requirement and to take advantage of all relevant opportunities in a way that is useful for their doctoral project.

Academic Development (5 ECTS)

The “academic development” category covers seminars and activities that provide transversal competences to doctoral students – i.e. competences that are useful to all researchers regardless of their specific topic and discipline (for example paper writing and publication process, oral presentation skills, searching and managing bibliographic references through for example reference management softwares, mastering specific computer programs, etc.). Activities in this area will be organized each year by the doctoral school, however students are encouraged to attend activities they identify elsewhere, possibly beyond the minimal requirement.
